NT0805 : The Moffat Toffee Shop

MOFFAT TOFFEE is not a traditional toffee but a boiled sweet made in Moffat. It is notable for its tangy centre which gives it an unusual flavour… mmmmm yes !
This Moffat toffee old family recipe was first used commercially by the present owner’s great grandmother, Janet Cook Johnstone, around the end of the 19th century. About 300 kilos of this toffee are still made each week here in Moffat.
This shop is a child’s paradise with many jars of different coloured sweets on each shelf.
