SU9973 : Fairhaven Lodges, Runnymede

by

Named after Lady Fairhaven who gave Runnymede to the National Trust. She commissioned architect Sir Edwin Lutyens to design these lodges in memory of her husband Sir Urban Broughton MP, who had bought the land to safeguard its future. The far lodge is used for meetings and exhibitions, the near one is home to the Magna Carta Cafe.
