The Pond is on the east side of the Palm House. Although The Pond is mainly in [[TQ1876]], Museum Number 1 is actually in [[TQ1877]] with the 177000 Northing grid line just clipping the right side corner here. Museum Number 1 is a Grade II Listed Building, constructed of yellow stock brick, stuccoed at ground floor level. It was designed by Decimus Burton and completed in 1857.
