This statue is on the riverside walkway at the end of Chancellor’s Road by the Fulham Reach Boat Club. The tablet at the base says “Hammersmith Society. LANCELOT ‘CAPABILITY’ BROWN 1716 – 1783 FATHER OF THE ENGLISH LANDSCAPE GARDEN Lived by the river in Hammersmith 1751 – 1764 Sculptor Lucy Dizengremel” It would be interesting to know what Capability Brown would have made of the novel feature alongside the riverside walkway further along from here, near to Fulham Football Ground – see https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6027983
