The second cenotaph on Whitehall Gardens is that commemorating the Women of World War II. I’m unsure if this is located in TQ3079 or TQ3080, but my estimate is that it is just inside the top edge of the former. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. As you can see, there is extensive roadworks happening along the whole length of Whitehall Gardens – apparently this is due to some kind of new regeneration scheme, including new cycling facilities and improved streetlighting, according to a nearby sign.
