Looking across the main A3 at this major junction in southeast London, the Elephant & Castle. Opposite us is the imposing Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre which is perhaps not pretty but there is nevertheless local love for the place. Demolition and replacement is scheduled for mid-2019 amid much local opposition.
