TQ3180 : View of the Dog and Pot sculpture from Union Street

This sculpture is a recreation of a shop sign from an early childhood memory of Charles Dickens mentioned in his book “The Life of Charles Dickens Volume One”. It was unveiled in February this year on the corner of Union Street and Blackfriars Road. The sculpture is also right on the border of two gridsquares: TQ3180 and TQ3179. A plaque on the pavement below the sculpture (see [[3625937]]) bears the quote from the book which inspired the sculpture. Looking south-southwest from Union Street.
