The history of this development site is well covered by other submissions but, briefly, although given broad approval by Boris Johnson in 2014 when Mayor of London, no construction work has yet happened.
The developers opened the site briefly late July 2021 to enable community consultation on the detail of one of the development blocks. The site is secured around the clock by security guards who quickly called me back when I wandered away from the consultation area near the gates to take a closer look.
Grade II listed Olympia Buildings are in forefront left and Canary Wharf across the river on the horizon.
At the consultation they were vaguely talking about construction work starting in September 2021. We’ll see.
